THIRTEEN

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALIXX!!!

Today is my little girl's birthday. Only, she isn't really little. She is thirteen today-and she is 5 foot 6.

WHAT???

I don't know how either of the two happened? Oh yeah, I blinked and she grew up.

I remember the day she was born as if it were yesterday. It was a SUPER hot Friday afternoon-2:53pm to be exact. She was as stubborn then as she is today, and was forced out of hibernation 2 1/2 weeks after her due date. She came out purple and cone-headed, but it was love at first sight. Thankfully she has gotten better looking over time-hahahaha!

Kelsey Alixx, you are gorgeous and I LOVE YOU!
Happy, Happy Birthday Baby Girl.

I seem to be having issues posting the birthday pictures-so those will come at a later time. Sorry :(

Today is the 3rd anniversary of the day our family was sealed together for all time and eternity in the Jordan River Temple.

Since Mike and I already have a wedding anniversary, we celebrate this day as a family.

I am so grateful for my wonderful family, my sweet husband and my darling children. HAPPY FAMILY ANNIVERSARY--I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Cruisin'

My family has always been into classic and muscle cars. My dad has ALWAYS had a project car. I honestly cannot remember him ever NOT having at least one car. In fact, before he sells one, he always makes sure he's got another one ready to go. My job has always been to help with the sanding and to help bleed the brakes. Ah, the memories of hanging out in the garage with my dad listening to the oldies station while workin' om the car. Those were the days!
I am so glad that my dad has this fun hobby and that his love of cars has rubbed off on me and my son. Zack is a riot! He is so funny to watch while working on his "project." Last year my dad gave him this car and he has puttied it up, sanded it down, masked it off and painted it. It's a sweet ride now!

Last week we came down for a visit and my dad and my brother took us out for a cruise in their cars. Jesse has been working on a 64 Impala and my dad is finishing up with the Pontiac. We had a little parade of cars and I must have looked like an idiot hanging out of the windows taking these pictures, but I had so much fun that I just don't care!

A Place Called Home

Our family is involved in a play called "A Place Called Home." It is a wonderful play based on a true story about the Mormon Pioneers.

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful play writer and a professional director in our ward. The play was written by Karen Ord Beckstead who recived praise from Church officials and was asked to bring this play to life in preparation for TREK.

Our ward is very large and full of great talent. It is directed by Pam Higginson and under the direction of these wonderful women, the play is coming along beautifully.

After months and months of hardwork and patience, rehearsal is coming to an end and the play will debut this week. YAY!!!

I would like to invite all of you out to watch us put on this wonderful show. The music is beautiful and the dancing is spectacular (my kids are dancers!) However, I warn you to bring tissues, as it is a very spiritual and moving play. It is also very funny and heartwarming.

Let me know if you would like to attend and I will give you show dates and times along with directions.

Country kids

Boys will be boys!

Zack and his best friend Josh play together all day in the "jungle" and the mud. I love that he has great friends here and lots of safe places to play!
