The first day of School (Yuck!)

Well, we did it. Some how we managed to get up early, dress, eat and make it out the door on time for school. It certainly wasn't easy and it definitely wasn't fun, but we did it.
Okay, truth be told, the kids were fine, it was ME who had trouble functioning and putting a smily upon my face. I was not (still aren't!) ready for school to start.

Today is day 2. Much better than day one. And now, only 178 days to go!!!!

the dreaded end...

Well, here it is, the last day of summer freedom. Sad.
We have been dreading this day for 3 whole months now and I guess it had to come. I am SO not looking forward to school starting tomorrow-UGH! YUCK!!!

We spent the last week soaking up as much fun in the sun as we could. We went to Cowabunga bay earlier this week and ended with a three day camping trip to Strawberry.

We had a wonderful time on the lake fishing and catching some rays and I get to head back to school with racoon eyes and a bright red nose. That should add to the fun!!!

Well, I can't complain too much-we did have a fabulous summer and all good things usually do have to come to an end, so until next May-SO LONG WONDERFUL FREEDOM!!!

Sweet!

Candy, candy, candy!
We LOVE candy, so today we went on a field trip with Stacey and her kids to Sweets Candy Factory in Salt Lake.
It was great. We went on a 40 minute tour of the factory and learned how they make everything from gummies (my fav!) to chocolate. The best part was the free samples along the way!
Once the tour was over, we received a bag of fresh taffy and were able to shop in the candy store. YUM!
Unfortunately, they do not allow you to bring in cameras so we had to pose in the waiting area after the tour. They made us wear these beautiful hair nets. Don't we just look HOT?! It was worth it for free candy!

Please find me a good renter

Well, back to square one.
My renters left last week. Bummer. I was very frustrated that they weren't holding up their end of the deal by letting my poor yard suffer, but at least they were payng the rent.
We went in last Saturday and gutted the place-and ta-da, it's cute again! YAY!
So now it is rent-able again. So if you or someone you know is interested in renting my adorable little cottage home, please let me know!!! It's available now.

I LOVE SUMMER!

I'm trying really hard not to think about it, but summer is quickly coming to an end. NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I am so sad that we have to go back to school. I wish I could be one of those mom's who was disciplined enough to make home-school work. I love being home with my kids. There is nothing better than hangin' out with those two cuties. I know that 3 months is probably long enough for some parents-but not me!

So, here we are with 18 1/2 days left of summer vacation. I'm thinking back to what we have done so far. Lagoon, swimming, girls camp, trips to Sandy, bike rides, sleeping in, staying up late, movies, ah, just plain ol' good fun!!! So, now I must make the most of the next few weeks and make my self sick of being home so going back will be a little easier.
HA. Yea, right!
