Alixx's Room

I am ALMOST finished with Alixx's room.  Actually, all I have left to do is find a side table, paint the dresser and hang the chandelier. Oh, and I misplaced the finials for the curtain rods and we have another set of sheer white curtains to hang.  Okay, I guess I'm not as far as I thought I was.   But here is a sneak-peak of what we have done so far.
Need to paint the dresser-probably silver with pink glass knobs.
Cute jewelry holders. Lets just hope all her jewelry will fit!   Zack made her the frame for her earrings for Christmas. I found the fleur de le knobs at Tookiloos to hang the necklaces-LOVE!
Antique mirror from my store. I painted the ugly gold to give it a new life.  It's even beveled!
I think I will pull the black curtains back and add a sheer white in the center.  Where did I put those finials??
I'm thinking we need LOTS of throw pillows-and maybe a rug...sheep skin?
DEFINITELY need to paint that dresser... ugh!

This is probably the first and last time we will EVER see it clean.  EVER. Seriously.

Another year older

Yet another year has gone by, and this little guy has turned 12.  CRAZY!  I LOVE this kid more than words can describe.  He is amazing at everything he does and isn't afraid to try a thing.  He is a great athlete, helpful, smart, caring, funny, handsome, a little shy, a true businessman, mostly patient, gentle, sweet, and just great to be around!  I love every second I get to spend with this kid.  I am the LUCKIEST mom EVER!!!

Zack's birthday was Saturday.  He had a basketball game in the morning and as we were getting ready to walk out the door, he was surprised to see grandma, grandpa, Jesse and Darren waiting in the driveway for him!  They brought him breakfast and gifts and were able to come watch his game.  What a fun surprise.

After the game, Zack and his dad along with a few friends, spent the day at Boondocks riding go-carts, playing lasertag and mini-golf and playing arcade games galore!  What a fabulous day he had.  Finished off with a family trip to a local pizza parlor.

Sunday we headed up to Park City for a little more celebrating.  We have been in need of some relaxing family time, and this seemed like the perfect place for a quick getaway.  Unfortunately it had snowed the night before so it was C-O-L-D, but lucky for us, the hotel had a heated indoor pool and hot tub to keep us warm and relaxed.

We went shopping at the outlet mall and hit up main street for a caramel apple and coffee-YUM!  And spent lots of time playing pool and ping-pong and arcade games at the hotel.  What a great birthday weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZACK!!!!

 I sure love you, kid!
